Jackson Cancer Research Interest Group
Welcome

The Jackson Cancer Research Interest Group is open to any affiliate of the University of Mississippi Medical Center who shares a professional interest in the fight against cancer. The members of our group include basic research scientists who study the biomolecular causes of cancer, in addition to medical practitioners dedicated to preventing, diagnosing, and treating cancer.

The purposes of the Jackson Cancer Research Interest Group are:

    • To foster interactions amongst members of the UMMC community with an interest in cancer-related research;
    • To promote new cancer-related research efforts on the UMMC campus;
    • To identify areas of research expertise associated with members of the group;
    • To provide continuing education about current cancer research issues, with a particular emphasis on emerging therapeutic technologies, persistent therapeutic obstacles, and novel biomedical concepts relevant to cancer.

      If you are interested in joining the Jackson Cancer Research Interest Group, please contact the J-CRIG Coordinator, Roy Duhé by phone (1-601-984-1625) or by e-mail
